What do I do with my little zucchini's that are turning yellow?

Comments (14)Thanks Dave... Yep, the guy who sold them to me when I bought them said "I think they're getting too much water, they need to get in the ground" So I bought them and took them home and put them in the ground. Then today he looked at the clippings and said "you haven't watered them since Saturday, you need to water them every other day and babysit them" Total contradiction.....It's apparent he has no clue, he's setting up a "blame the buyer" excuse to not honor the warranty. It fries my bacon....and yes, he seemed like an idiot. I'd rather trust you guys here who have dealt with Thuja Green Giants before. Is it possible that at my elevation (about 6500 ft.) that they could have plenty of water, but are being killed by the sun due to higher sun exposure rates due to altitude? Are they sensitive to that? (as in it's easier for a person go get a sunburn at high altitude) By the way, this particular nursery was the only one of 5 in my general area that even carried the Green Giants. Maybe that should tell me something....See MoreNewly planted Thuja Green Giant trees turning brown
Comments (18)It's been about 2 months so I thought I'd share a few more photos. Here is what they look like now. I'm pretty happy with their growth. They've started to green up, fill in, and grow taller. Some of them are growing over the top of the 4ft electric wire fence post. I've been sticking with my watering routine of every 7 days, but recently just switched to every 5 days because it's been really hot and dry in my area. The most recent issue has been bag worms. I didn't notice them until were in their final stages, so I've just been picking them off and squishing them. I'll spray next year so hopefully that will take care of them. Any advice on which spray to use? Will I have to keep spraying every year? I'm getting in some more mulch and going to mulch on the outside of the trees where is a little skimpy....See MoreDo meyer lemons ever turn yellow on the tree?
Comments (6)My Meyers always turn yellow on the tree and can stay that way for weeks until I pick them. Meyers have one of the longest time on the branch of any citrus. Just like it takes humans nine months to make a baby, it takes Meyers about nine months per fruit. Just be patient....See Morekery12000
