Master Bathroom
My cabinets are Shaker-Maple Toast, Granite Countertop-Nevasca Mist, Moen Faucet-Lindor, sink-rectangular under mount, and Lights Vaxcel-Standford.
I am not sure about the light fixture with the Moen Faucet. The floors will be Porcelain Tile--to be determined. Thanks

last yearI suggest a gray slate-look floor and white or light gray (pick a color from the counter) tile in the shower or tub surround. I am posting a picture of a bathroom with green tile if you're more adventurous. If subway is too boring for you, there are other sizes in rectangular tiles. If you have a shower instead of a tub, the shower floor is best done in a small scale square or hexagon. While you can use larger tiles this takes a more skilled craftsman and those aren't always easy to find. Something variegated in shades of white and gray will tie all of your elements together.
You're right to be concerned about the light fixture with the faucet, this is not the right one. This is what I found in a quick search: https://www.houzz.com/products/prudence-4-light-brushed-nickel-vanity-wall-fixture-white-etched-glass-31-wide-prvw-vr~42025126. It still has curves, but the shades are more contemporary. Don't get anything with clear shades as that is glaring light. You didn't say how wide your vanity is, but if you have room, sconces on either side of a mirror are better. Also, I don't agree with having 4,000k LED lighting. Everyone has a difference preference, but 4,000k is way too blue for me. You can always try different bulbs until you find the right light for your taste.

I wish you the best finding the perfect paint for your house....I played it safe also when building 6 yrs. ago and went with Ivorie thru out the downstairs public rooms and bedroom bath. Later changed the DR to restrained gold and the bedroom to mannered gold. then just this past Oct. changed the LR to raspberry red. I think you get more comfortable in your home the longer you are there and are willing to take more risks. Now I wish I had painted Mannered gold in the FR which is a 22 ft. ceiling room...ha! The Ivorie is staying for now until DH decides to hire a painter....LOL! But go for it if you are building....once blinds are up, furniture is in , pictures and art are hung.....the paint colors tone down. I especially love the mannered gold. It made the tones in our bedroom furniture seem much richer. I left the bathroom Ivorie since gold isn't my color in clothing shades and was afraid it might make us look sallow or jaundiced in the bathroom. We had thought of wallpapering it buy life gets in the way sometimes and projects get put on hold. But the deeper shades on that paint strip, restrained gold & mannered gold are very pretty colors. Comments (86)I much prefer the closet off the bath and easy access from the closet to the laundry. Ours is a walk though closet approx 15' x 7' 6". Doors opposite each other giving DH a space of a bit more than 5' x 7'6" and I have about 7' x 7' 6" on my end, so basically two decent sized, but not overly large walk in closets sharing a 3' walk through between the bath and my office (but steps from laundry). DH slept in this morning. I showered and got ready for the day, put up laundry, and dried a load of towels and put them up all without disturbing DH. Comments (3)I screwed up - it's a master bedroom and bath in the basement with walk out. You are 100% correct with the confusion. What I've decided to do is to have this be more of a "guest master bedroom" or future inlaw place. Every home is initially designed for the current occupant but also with future occupants in mind. Therefore what I'll do is focus on the upstairs primary bedroom and then if I do decide to stay, I'll give this to my soon to be teen-age daughter and I'll build my primary bedroom in the basement. Comments (7)Cork is an excellent carpet replacement product. It is warm and quiet underfoot. It comes in two formats: A floating click-together format for 'dry' areas and a glue down tile for wet areas such as bathrooms and mud rooms. Yep...you heard me. The glue down cork tile is 100% water proof. As in MORE water proof than vinyl click together products. How? The glue down cork tiles are butted together (no grout lines) when installed. They are then coated x2 with water based polyurethane. The poly seals the seams to create a continuous sheet of cork. The only areas of concern (as with ALL floors in a bathroom) would be at the walls where cork meets drywall. I'm a cork flooring expert. I've done this more times than I can count. A situation like yours were you do NOT want to refinish the entire house because two rooms had issues. Cork is an oak. It has many of the same colour tones as White and Red oak. In fact it starts out quite orange (sigh...ignore that phase of it's life...it doesn't last very long) but soon calms down to a lovely soft yellow which is IDENTICAL to the current laminates you have. Here's how I would do it: I would pick a floating floor that has an IDENTICAL glue down tile option. I would install the floating floor in the bedroom. This gives you the 'total' floor height that you need to match. Now you remove the bathroom flooring and lay in new plywood OR cement backer board (cork doesn't care) to raise the floor up. Now you glue down the cork tile (6mm or 8mm) so that it matches the existing floating floor. Finish the floor in two coats of polyurethane and Voila! A continuous floor with minimal effort. A glue down tile floor (if you hire this part out) is going to cost (labour plus materials) the same as a porcelain tile installation. That's roughly $12-$15/sf. Sounds horrible until you realize you have 30sf to cover...now that's not too bad! This is my layout of the Master Bath
Of course, the lights, sinks, and faucets are all generic from my design program. Whatever I get I want the shades to be solid (I don't want to see the bulbs). The granite countertop is taupe, black, gray, and white and I thought if I went with gray flooring that would be too much gray. The flooring that will be in the rest of the house blends well with the cabinet colors and beige tones. My sink color is called Oyster (taupe). One in the Peninsula, one in the Kitchen Island, and one in the Laundry Room.
The top is the LVP called Santa Fe Desert which will be in most of the house. In some light, it looks on the Taupe side, and in other light, it looks on the beige/cream side. Left of the cabinet is sheet vinyl that will be in the Laundry Room, Storage Room, and one of the Guest bathrooms. Some photos show it more on the Taupe side and others show it more on the Gray side.
