Plastic garage door hinges

Hello

My garage door works, but several of the plastic hinges holding the panels together cracked. I can't find anything other than metal garage door hinges for sale. Does anyone sell these? And/or would I be better off putting in metal hinges, assuming I can locate the frame behind the vinyl?

I'm not looking forward to replacing these. It looks like the metal rails need to be moved before I can insert new hinges of this type in there. But I don't want to wait too long and be sorry when half the door crashes down on something :)

Call a garage door service company. Likely the springs will need to be relaxed in order to replace hinges - DO NOT attempt yourself unless you know what you’re doing

I've taken the door rails off when I rebuilt the inside of the garage, so I know what I'm doing when it comes to springs. Is this type of hinge only available to garage door service companies? What's it called?

Was able to buy 3-9' gray color weather seal strips for under $30. Simple installation took less than 30min. Seems to have helped attenuate the sound. I read that the normal .125" gap around a garage door equals 50sq in of air space. Next I'll look into either adding to or replacing the glass panes, maybe see if I can find a solid section to replace the window section.

Update: I painted the door with Behr 100% acrylic exterior satin sheen. It painted very well, covered in one coat except just a couple spots I touched up the next day. Looks wonderful!

They can be drilled out, taking care not to bore all the way through the wood. I'd start with a drill bit about 1/16" larger than the visible hole and then try the pliers again. This, of course destroys the insert, so how do you plan to reinstall the hinges? It might be best to paint around them since the hinge should cover them when installed.

It is code for you are overthinking it and it doesn't matter because no one will notice and/or care. If is a big deal for you make all finishes the same, or all the same on each side of the door. Or look at it as plumbing fixtures are one finish and door hardware is another finish. It sounds like there is a lack of continuity in the house's design.
