Thanks but I bought some yesterday at Lowe's. What I got was a set of 5 xenon pucks that came w/ a 3-position, touch dimmer. The nice thing about that is that I don't have to install a box or switch - the little button just sticks to any surface. I like the fact taht it is all made to work together and I'm not "rigging" anything. I have used Pegasus products before, though. Bill/Memphis

It's primitive but hopefully semi-accurate :) The area to the right end of the kitchen used to be the dining part of the eat in kitchen. It's now basically a walk-thru. The red circles are where existing electrical is for two recessed lights. I'll have a pendant(s) over the bar. I'm thinking one will be enough?? There is a light over the sink. I'm going to use 5" recessed cans (IC and air tight). Ceilings are 8' Not much natural lighting. Where should I place the other cans? I know they're lined up over the edge of the counters. Everything will be on dimmers. Pendants, walk thru light and kitchen lighting all on separate switches. Thanks, Monica

Oh I'm so glad you appreciated the site! With the 10' ceilings, it could look amazing. I DO think of these as pieces of art. Unfortunately, saddled with 8' ceilings as I am, I haven't been able to fit this in...except in my wood burning stove room (hmmm.. maybe?). Please do post with pricing info once you receive. I may have requested and forgotten (as I tend to with unpleasant things). Anyway, absolutely love your wallpaper and color scheme. I guess I haven't been following. Is this a new build for you? How very exciting! If you have links to a blog or other posts with more details, I'd love to read more. Many of your choices just resonate with me.

The cab next to the oven column has a base and an upper cab that is 15" or 16" above the counter and pulled forward so that its face is even with the base cab face. It will be similar to this set-up, except that the toaster oven cubby will only be 19 1/2" deep (the toaster oven, inc handle, will pretty much fill the space front to back). The toaster oven has a lighted control panel so we won't have a problem reading temp, settings, etc. I realized that I'm adding 2 additional can lights to the kitchen so yes, definitely on the dimmer switch! I can't wait to see my kitchen either, Carol! =) The lighting rep recommended the 10" back from the front. I forgot to ask her if that was OC (on center) or to the front edge of the can but since we're talking about 2", I decided not to worry about it and go with the front to back position of my can in the corner above the windows since not repositioning it will save us a bit of $$. There won't be any work counter in the area next to the ovens, only a shallower than standard counter for the toaster oven. Everything else is floor to ceiling cabs so lighting in front of it is preferred. The can above my fridge and fridge cab was placed way too close to the cab face creating glare on the cab and shadows where I don't want them. Also, it's how our current cans are placed and it's worked well for 20+ yrs. Good luck with your kitchen planning!
