Help with matching foyer lights for upper hallway
Comments (3)design-wotcha...thanks for the complement on the fixture. Looking to replace two ceiling lights in the upper hallway and possibly the sconce that I have at a landing of the staircase going up. I'll try to post pictures later today when I get home from work. I'm actually updating the whole house. I'll be stripping and re-staining the staircase and replacing the balusters, changing out the interior doors and trim, replacing tile, updating the kitchen and bathrooms and more. teacats...thanks for the link. Nice fixtures, but it doesn't anything for me. I came across this one. What does everyone think of this?...See MoreHelp Choosing light in Foyer?
Comments (38)Thank you so much Flo! This is a GENIUS idea (gold/silver leaf or glitter)! I’m so excited about this now. Yes, I created this poll after my design dilemma didn’t get off to a good start. Lynartist brought this up in the other one. I thought a more straight forward approach, as I knew I LOVED the blown glass chandeliers, just wasn’t sure which would be the best to go with. I’m just now reading yours’ and the pictures above were SO helpful!! I am going to go with the more colorful one (the one that BeverlyFLADeziner placed in the recessed area above)....See MoreFoyer lighting help`
Comments (4)I wouldn’t put a chandelier there, and I am not a lover of semi-flush mounts. In your situation, add the length and width of the space for the proper size of the fixture. I like the second one a lot…because it looks like it is floating because of the light reflected on the ceiling. ShadesofLight.com...See MoreHelp Picking Foyer Light Size!
Comments (7)HU-187528210 I did think about getting a taller light......the two tier circular chandeliers are double the price of the one tier...but I do like them! I was hoping to stay under $1,000. Thank you for the photos, those really help with be able to visualize how it would look. Any other suggestions would be great. decoenthusiaste I agree that the foyer chandelier goes with the style of my home in the pics........but I just completed a kitchen remodel and the lighting in there is pretty modern. I also just changed out the light in the dining room....so I am wondering if I need to change out the foyer light to go with my newly updated lights. I'm stumped.... New dining room light below Old dining room light below (should I have kept it?? Still have it)...See MoreLaney
