VOLK Rootstock questions....

I always cut off branches growing on the rootstocks, but these two were popping out of the soil of my Red Lime tree, a few inches away from the trunk. Digging in the soil, I found they were connected to one of the roots of the rootstock. I dug them out and put them in a pot. They have lived and one has new growth.

When I got the red lime tree, all it said was VOLK for the rootstock. So now I have two small 'VOLK' trees I suppose. What exactly is VOLK? I'm guessing it's a Volkamer Lemon, but when I look at pictures of that, the leaves are more pointed than these. These leaves are much more rounder. Bugs like them obviously. I will attach a picture.

Any ideas on what these could be, and any info in VOLK rootstock general would be appreciated..
