Firelight is my favorite hydrangea so it should be no surprise that I love Firelight Tidbit. I have about eight of them in the ground. They spread out nicely and have nice blooms which have turned pink.

I think that Firelight Tidbit will do well in a container. Mine are about the size of yours and they are two years old.

Nice pic! Do you Firelight Tidbit flop over after a rain, like Firelight do? I just cut my Limelight blooms all off, since they were totally flopped and could not see my other plants. So, disappointing when the Hydrangeas flop like that.

I may try Limelight Prime, but guessing they will still flop over too.

My Firelights and Firelight Tidbits do not flop over after a heavy rain. My Limelight, Little Limes, and Vanilla Strawberry do flop over though. I just prop and/or tied them up.

It did last year, its first year, but not that I have noticed this year....but then again we haven't had much rain :(.

I am more and more impressed with this variety. The specimen I bought last year and potted it looked like a "Charlie Brown Christmas Tree" but it has so 'beefed up' this season.

Your Tidbit is looking good, @rouge21_gw (CDN Z6a). My Tidbits are stars of the fall (after my Vanilla Strawberry which is just stunning) with their deep pink blossoms.

The very compact size on this one seems to be the big deal. Other than that pretty typical looking panicle hydrangea. Aging flower color isn’t exceptional.

The size is perfect for a container.

(Actually @pennlake, given the drought we have experienced this past season I think I am pretty pleased with the flower display for this panicle.)

@pennlake, my Firelight Tidbit's flowers in late summer/early fall are a beautiful deep pink. I think that @rouge21_gw (CDN Z6a)'s Tidbit will be the same in year 2.

Perhaps some climate variation. My observations are based on plants growing for several years here in MN as part of large collection of Hydrangea paniculata cultivars.
