From my non-professional eye they look like they're in the right place. I like how they blend in with the wood color; I hate contrasting hardware so I'm on board.

- Drawer pulls should all be placed towards the top of the drawer, not middle

- Lower cabinets should have the pulls placed horrizontal instead of vertical

Do these changes make sense?

@Beth H. : Thanks, I’ve reviewed some of these, which were helpful. One image you posted suggested option 1 and 2, referring to placement of knob at 1 1/4” or something, but it’s cut off… what was it from?

is what you said was cut off? option 1: 1-1/4" in, and 2-3/8" up.

2nd option is 2" in and 2" up.

@Beth H. : Yes, they have it placed at 3” and I was suggesting in my OP to bring it down to 2” - however, based on what you posted it sounds like we could take it even lower/closer to the corner at 1-1/4” up/in, which may be more in line with what we want… clean lines, not making the hardware stand out (except for the pantry, we just like the forged/textured look of that hardware, but that’s an exception)…

This is very subjective.

For example I prefer the pulls on my drawers to be centered on the vertical and horizontal, so I don't love your pulls placed further up on the drawers.

Unless you are trying to do something way out of the average range of options, which you aren't, just go with what looks/feels right to YOU.

The only thing I'd change it to keep your lower cabinet pulls vertical. Horizontal on a cabinet just feels wrong to me. If you look at Beth's pictures, all pulls on cabinets are vertical. I like the hardware you've chosen.

I like pulls in the middle.

i think the knobs at 2" would be better than 3.

you could take them lower depending on how tall they are. (if they're 42" and you have a teeny knob, putting them too low looks weird)

Lower cabs,,, If it's a door that swings to right or left, place them vertical.

if its a drawer, I like them in the middle, not the upper half.

I prefer a more modern look, see image below. Question is, to achieve this, how far from the top edge should the pull be placed… is 1” or 1.5” too little?

I like the classic, but I don't think you can choose incorrectly.

Hi @Beth H. : We’re going for modern, assuming your question is regarding my last post. We’ve also aligned with our cabinet hardware designer to place the pulls 1.5” from the top edge, to achieve the more modern look, per my last post.

Also, not going to do horizontal on the bottom cabinets and will be making the knobs 2” in from side/bottom on uppers.

I think adding some black would look cool. (and doing a matte black Makoto tile on the vertical stack would look awesome!)

BTW, what backsplash tile are you doing? I can think of quite of few that would look great

(and notice the hardware placement on these)
