HELPPP with kitchen hardware size
I wanted to go a little longer with my cabinet pulls I had measured wrong on one of them I measured the handle instead of center don't ask why I don't even know It looks a lot larger than I thought but I'm wondering if I could get away with it it or if it looks ridiculous on my cabinets I was all set until I had to show my father and he told me they did ! Ahhh idk what size or pull between these two !! I think the smaller one gets swallowed up but if I go any bigger w that particular one bc its not a bar I won't be able to ever change the look to smaller if I ever wanted to change which I shouldn't even be thinking of that! Please help me decide if I should go w the larger one or go w the other & or if I do go w the other should I get it in the longer length as shown ? Thank you

last yearHi. We used smaller ones. They look fine to me, but I am not a pro. Here’s a few pictures of ours… we mounted ours a little lower than you are holding yours.

Comments (34)This may have been covered in earlier posts, but its all the structural / functional stuff that can eat up your whole budget. How old are the windows in the home, are they energy efficient, and if you end up needing to replace them its crazy expensive (we did, although our home was older when we purchased it). Ditto for doors. Examine carefully for interior signs of roof leaks, leaks in general and ice dam damage...age/condition of roof; age/condition/expected lifespan of heating, cooling systems, water heaters, etc. House that size probably has multiple of each. Put a stink-eye on how the overall home appears to have been cared for -- many people overextended in the past decade or so and then were not able/willing to maintain... our electrical panel work is a story in itself and kind of highlighted how many of the rest of the things in the home were done (we should have read the writing on the wall, so to speak, at that point). Comments (27)@backstroae Ours are Berenson Hearthstone. I just went and measured and the larger pulls do stick out a bit more than the smaller ones, but not by a lot. On our one 30" drawer we used a 160mm pull as the 12" looked too big. But seriously... if you can buy one of each pull size and hold them up to each drawer, do so... we would have not bought the right sizes if we had just guessed. Also, to anyone who reads this who may be considering Berenson brushed nickel hardware. It is fantastic and shows no smudges no matter how greasy my hands are... they look perfect still. We used cheaper pulls in the bathrooms and those show every fingerprint (as does Kohler's BN hardware so I guess it sort of matches)....See Morehelp with kitchen hardware size
Comments (17)Painter came today and removed all the cabinet doors and drawer fronts to sand and started the primer so I have a few days to decide... excuse the mess, this was taken this evening so primer looks dark in pic without natural light will try to take one with sunlight tomorrow. Comments (1)Hi. I think at the knob/ pulls phase… I had lost my mind. I had a hard time deciding. Hang in there. I’m sure a pro can help rather easily. I bought a bunch of different ones and held them up taking pictures of each. Pictures help you stand back a little and evaluate. I also looked at tons of kitchens online to see what others had done with similar configurations. My biggest goal was to make sure there was enough room between the knob/ handle and cabinet so I wouldn’t scratch the paint off. So far it worked on all areas but the trash cabinet. last yearI like the smaller ones, both for size and style. It also appears they may be better for bumping into each other if both cabinets are open. Remember that when you have them all up the overall effect will be more busy looking.
