Cloud White looks a bit 'dingy gray'.

Did you have the cabinet guy paint a sample door for you before you fully commit?

You really should. you need to take the door into your kitchen and see how it looks.

what countertop are you using?

What floor are you doing?

You need an actual sample of this cabinet color to see how it looks w/the other two elements in the kitchen. Do this before he starts painting your cabinets.

As for the rest of the house, match your trim to your Swiss Coffee color. I'd would pick a neutral white from SW (not familiar w/DE whites)

or, try these DE whites

This is a cooler based white. (similar to BM Chantilly Lace)

Use the same color (Swiss Coffee) for you trim, but in Semigloss, or try one of the others, above

I've actually used this color Whisper, in my own house on the trim many years ago. It's a warmer white.

I painted a sample of the cloud white and moved it at different times of the day I didn't see "dingy" but I sure wouldn't want that. Since I'm not the professional I'll take your word for it and try to put a hold on the cabinet paint. Kelly Moore's (since for cabs I have to pick KM) Swiss coffee is a pretty color. I just don't want too yellow-creamy and when I've had one paint company mix another companies paint it just isn't right.

I'm sorry I didn't answer your questions Flooring is french oak in a lighter warm wood tone and countertops are black soapstone.

You can buy the same kelly moore paint for your trim, then you know it will all look good together. If you are also wanting white walls, and I guess, a white ceiling, for the ceiling, you would use flat paint. For the walls eggshell or matte, and for the trim, satin, semi gloss, or high gloss, depending on the gloss you want. Kelly Moore also has a paint called whitest white. I would get a sample of both the cloud white and the whitest white, and paint them on a piece of primered sheetrock, and move it all around your rooms, in all different lighting.

Remember natural light is only during the day so make sure all your lighting is the same and I use LED 4000K to keep the colors true at night. Anything lower than 3500K will have all the whites looking yellow. Why do you have to choose KM for the cabinets? IMO they are your cabinets choose the paint you want sam as for painting the walls I never let my painter choose paint that is not his job.

Thank you all for helping with this. Kelly Moore is the brand the cabinet company uses and I wanted "true" colors. I've had a bad experience with companies mixing other's paints. Lighting isn't complete yet but will be set at LED 4000K! My painter will use what I would like, he is just more familiar with DE and SW. If I can catch the cabinet company before painting I might be money ahead to go with the KM Swiss coffee...I think the KM Cloud White is a little too stark...these are custom built cabinets and I want them to look beautiful. My kitchen is basically in the center of the house so it is seen by all who enter...Ha! Then I can paint walls, trim and ceilings in diff finishes with the same color.

doesn't your cabinet guy have any sample doors that's he's painted? have him do one in the cloud white and one of the other whites. take it home. look at during the day and night w/your lighting. You just want to be sure. Can't tell you how many times people post dilemmas on here that are unhappy w/their cabinet color, only to find out they never even saw a sample !

For the ceiling, I would just use a base white. have the mixer add a few squirts of white tint. no yellow, no red no black. you just want a white white. use flat on the ceiling.

for you trim, pick one of the others you like w/swiss coffee

There were not sample white cabinet doors to look at or bring home. I just painted wide base that I had with the KM Swiss Coffee and KM Cloud white. We checked the samples at diff times of the day and evening with flooring using my husbands shop light that is LED and 2000K (maybe) both actually looked nice with the floor but the problem came when I tried to find trim and wall white paint color. Thinking I needed even cooler than the Cloud White and that wasn't good. I emailed cabinet guy this morning to change to the KM Swiss Coffee thinking I'll have a better chance at selecting a trim and wall paint if I start with a more "white" not too cool and not too warm (yellow), Thank you for the ceiling paint tip...that's one I'll use for sure!!

KM Swiss Coffee appears to have a pink undertone rather than a yellow

Compare it next to Dunn Edwards which has more yellow to it. Do you see the diff?

2000K lighting is horrible for selecting paint colors. it will cast a orange/yellow hue over everything.

You can't pick a trim color w/that lighting. You will over compensate and pick something cooler when all you need is a cooler light.

4000K, as mentioned earlier, is what you need.

look at the diff in a 2000 to a 4000. trust me. get this lighting and get a sample door.

You haven't mentioned the countertop, have you? what color is it?

As for the cabinet painter, he should be able to paint a sample door for you! not a big deal.

You need to have one in hand when choosing a countertop. the last thing you want is a white quartz and your cabinets come back a very warm, yellowish white!.

I had mine painted and chose Simply White.

The painters gave me a sample door to show what the lacquer conversion looks like and ended up going one shade brighter. But my walls and trim are Simply White and they look identical

This is all natural light. It's not a cool white. just a neutral, fresh white. This color trim paired w/your Swiss Coffee walls would look nice. would look similar to this wall/trim duo

or you could try SW Alabaster if you want something a tad warmer
