Where to buy these tree planters?

Looking to purchase three-five of these planters for use with silver birch trees. Can someone help me track down these exact, or similar, planters? What size would be appropriate? Based in California, USA.

Also, what kind of flowers are these?

Can’t help you with the planters but that ’flower’ is Silver Falls dichondra.

are you a contractor.. seems like you want us to do all the leg work .. color match what?

might it not be a better question of whether silver birch will live in such a tiny pot.. relatively speaking???

generally speaking the root mass of a tree is twice as large as the tree you see above ground.. ergo.. referring to the link.. how big a pot might you need for a 20 or 30 foot silver birch???

You want to use the linseed oil on every surface. You're trying to protect the wood and keep it from cupping. Don't worry, it'll weather juuuust fine. Water requirements are going to be a function of construction, as much as material in my experience. Using a single slab of wood or resin will keep the soil damper than multiple slats which will allow more air in. The resin probably keeps a bit more moisture in, but in my experience, you're going to be watering daily or every other day no matter what. Bushes and small trees take up a lot of water.

So when the plants root in the 3 inch pots I'll graduate them to quarts. But when do you transplant? Early spring just before they bloom or in fall when they go dormant? As for whether or not the varieties I am learning with are good in pots I chose ones that local nurseries often carry. Of course I do not anticipate all of them to do well - some simple will not root, others will not do well in pots, and so on. But I am learning:)

What about a pergola or some other shade-providing structure? Or an umbrella? Do you need to shade the pond itself, or a sitting area by the pond? Why? Are there plants in the pond? Fish? Is your area really windy? (Tall plants in pots can get easily blown over) There are a lot of different evergreen shrubs and conifers that will do fine in a container for a few years--then you must either put them in the ground or trash them. Juniper, Cypress, Holly, Privet. Plain, tough plants. What style of garden do you have?

Everywhere sells those buckets, kmart, walmart, I was in a big lots the other day and they had them too. I used to work at kmart a long time ago and we kept them in the automotive section. A lot of college kids use them to fill with ice and put a keg in, so maybe even big liquor stores. They are very popular in the summer. Here is the first supplier I stumbled across: Big Buckets Don't pay $17.50 though I bough one for 5 dollars at a Big Lots last year.

What ken fails to realize is that a silver birch will never reach 20-30 feet in a container as that is an automatic dwarfing process. It will only grow as large as the root system to support it is allowed to develop.

Since those things are made to order, I bet the manufacturer would be happy to help you out on color matching.
