Comments (5)I like your existing railing too. It’s appropriate for your house and it’s attractive. I’m not sure about painting it a different color or wood tone so it “pops.” I don’t think I’d like a popping railing. Use a contrasting color or wood tone for a handsome front door. Comments (6)You will probably want an ada compliant railing. This might attach to the inside of the more decorative railing. an example here: https://www.trex.com/products/railing/ada-handrail/ the more decorative railings can be too large to safely grip. Some manufacturers offer this secondary rail.
