I’m looking for a color that is soft and more blue than gray. Not pastel, and not too dark. My theme is tropical British Colonial. Whole house will be bright white with blond floors and the kitchen faces the swimming pool.

The actual color temperature, in terms of Kelvins, of the lighting doesn't matter as much as the CRI - color rendering index rating. You want a high CRI. At least 85 closer to 90 is better. It should be noted on the box. Lots of chatter on this forum about 3500K, 4000K, etc. - Kelvins mean nothing without CRI. Light French Gray belongs to the yellow hue family and it's a near neutral gray. We know that near neutrals from this hue family neighborhood can shift and look purple, purple-blue, blue-ish. I think you can make it look less blue with a good lighting plan with excellent CRI as the focus. Also, throw a lot of white at that room. Decor, accessories, etc. Last, it's not such a crazy idea to paint the walls the same color - just in a different, more matte finish than the cabinets. Because lowering the contrast could help it read less blue.

Edgecombe Gray Accessible Beige

BM Silver Half Dollar (there's also a Silver Dollar that's more gray) I had the walls in my living room w/this color. look a little too blue, since I wanted more gray. I've recently repainted with BM Calm. Sweet Innocence, Gray Cloud are nice. I painted my bedroom w/Gray Cloud.
