Nightmares every single night...sigh :(
Comments (57)Very interesting thoughts and thank you so much for your kindness everyone! I kind of expected that my post would get glossed over...I underestimated everyone's willingness to share, and help. You're sincerely wonderful folks :). I guess it's the kind of thing that only seems like an inconvenience...but the reality is that lack of sleep (and nightmares) are both debilitating... April, I'm like you in that meds don't seem to affect me in the expected way...A lot of them, from pain killers to anti-anxiety meds don't seem to work on me. Weed is not legal here, so I won't say if it helps or not...but I imagine that it relaxes me enough to fall asleep. And that, in itself, is like a little vacation from the norm... I have magnesium that I haven't taken in ages (I'm supposed to take it while I'm on this other med) so I'm now taking that at night. I do take Plaquenil (an anti-malarial that was prescribed for my RA) and just read that a rare side effect is nightmares.... I do know that I have trouble relaxing...you know that feeling of sinking into the mattress? I rarely get that. I noticed this morning that I sleep with my shoulders hunched up...and he nightmare thing is causing this cycle of anxiety/nightmares/anxiety... And now I'm boring everyone with my issues... And I'm sorry for that...I tend to ramble when I'm tired. Oh plus no naps for me. I just don't have that ability. :(...See MoreWeekend Music (FNM): Peace and War
Comments (33)... I see a car winding up the driveway Up to your parents' place The old man looks up from his raking As the color drains from your mama's face Cryin' softly by the window now While your daddy shakes the soldiers hands Their taillights disappear into the woods below He's frozen in the doorway where he stands In the twilight, in the silent snow ......See MoreWeekend Music (FNM): Dream, Nightmare, Sleep/Slept
Comments (31)I've been listening to this one over and over lately, it's soothing... One Summer Dream And this is what popped into my head too: So sorry you're dealing with those intense dreams, Lars. Might it be related to medication(s)?...See MoreWeekend Music (FNM): Make, Made
Comments (44)Salonva - It's too bad the Al Jolson/Larry Parks performance was done in black face, it seemed like the best one. I think it was from a movie about Al Jolson's life....See MoreLars
