Our large family does a lot of family get togethers. Two ovens is definitely a plus when preparing meals for 20-30 people. My kitchen has just one oven, but I have a large bbq and a tregger grill and like to prepare steaks and other meats with the sous vide method, so a single oven has worked based on the use of alternative cooking methods. My two sisters both have 2 ovens, but are less inclined to use other cooking methods. Their homes and double ovens are a necessity for Christmas baking. One oven doesn't work when you are baking 10 dozen anything. My one sister has a double wall oven / cooktop and my oldest sister has a range and a single wall oven. Baking dozens of cookies with one person in charge of ovens works best with the two wall ovens. Cooking large meals with a lot of different dishes seems to work better with the single wall oven and the range. We seem to work around each other better with this setup. I was also surprised when I talked to my sister recently and she told me that she isn't in love with her huge island for day to day cooking (I think it is about 8' x 4'). It is the bomb when we have 5 or 6 of us together baking pastries. Her problem is constantly walking around the island when making a small meal. I have been giving a lot of thought to my kitchen reno - coming up next year. Not sure what is most important, but I am leaning toward maximizing my counter space over additional cooking space. The most important thing is that the kitchen functions well for you and your family and that is different for every family.

I purchased a Forno stove in October 2021. June of 2022 the serious issues began and have continued. Approximately two months after the warranty expired the oven would not ignite (Thanksgiving Day, 2023). Eventually I received a reply from customer service with too much in bold print telling me that my unit was out of warranty, parts would be supplied per their technician according to my report of problems with stove which were, igniters would not stay off while burners were on, oven would not stay lit, wires were frayed going to igniters. There was duct tape behind the knob holding part of the cover behind knobs together. That is a fire hazard for sure. I received a box of parts free of charge with igniters, new wiring, but no burner for oven. Repairman stated the whole stove was in the box except the burners, doors and walls. Today is March 1 and the igniters installed February 22 have already gone out, so much for free parts supplied by Forno. I have begged for a new stove. I was offered a new unit half price with a one-year warranty which would begin when payment was made, not delivery. Delivery could take weeks. Their company may not be a sham, but their website does not tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Customer service with this company is sub-par.

Thanks to all you review submitters! We're having to replace our 20-year old dual fuel 48" Thermador which since Bosch's acquisition is impossible to repair or maintain. So, dilemma: Won't pay $15k for the high- end ranges (dubious of even their reliability and support) but don't know if the Chinese knockoffs (Forno, Z-Line, . . . ) are gonna suffice. Seem to have high incidences of not everything working out-of-the-box, possible issues with termperature control, and even safety: hot stove fronts and knobs, gas leaks. Don't expect good service, or any at all after a few years, but hope they'd last 5+ years. Also, nobody e.g. (Home Depot, Lowe's) has a floor model to look at, which we like to do when making such an investment. Anyone know where one can be seen in the Sacramento area? Zline case # 00723508 4/4/24 @ 11:55am RG30 oven owner two years this summer. Oven is now 50 degrees off. I used two different oven thermometers to confirm. I have reached out to find out how to calibrate the oven because it appears the only way it's going to happen is if I do it myself. Never got a reply. Heating within the oven is uneven although the convection fans (which do NOT turn off) are running. Some baked goods get close to burning and others are raw in the middle. Have been through TWO carbon dioxide warnings with this oven. The first time the parts that needed replacing arrived in about a month and then another month until a tech came out to install them. I never heard anything from Zline after the second time when the Sears tech left after checking for CO2. His last words were, "I'll send these results back to Zline and they will be in touch". That was three months ago. Zline, get your stuff together! I tell anyone looking at your products "buyer beware". I can't think of a purchase I've made in my entire life that I regret as much as this purchase.
