Your colors are very similar to mine. May I ask where you found those beautiful parson chairs? Also, your wall color is devine. Terrik: Those chairs are very similar to the overstock ones and the price is great.. Stil, I appreciate your comments---seems you know a lot about design and decorating. Queen Anne, Chippendale, Hepplewhite,Sheraton and perhaps some Biedermier and Neoclassical chairs would work. You could even do a skirted chair or a very small scaled wing chair. How many chairs do you need. What room is this for? Do you have other English styles in your home? I have a pair of Martha Washington chairs next to a small dining table. They sit alittle low but I like the look.

@Jilly Thank you!! Lots of great suggestions. I agree that the Jordan Bell Arte one is very pretty. Even though it isn‘t one I ever would have picked out myself, I like it. And I never would have thought of doing something in a striped pattern as opposed to a solid colored upholstery... I really like the stripes. Honestly, I like them all. But my favorite is also probably the cane backed one. The second to last one intrigues me too. It’s definitely a different style that the others, but I like the simplicity. Some of them are probably a bit pricier than I wanted to go, but they give me good inspiration. @tartanmeup Thanks for the feedback on wood back with fabric seat. I never thought about the ability to DIY a different look down the road. I like that idea. For both of you @Jilly and @tartanmeup, what are your thoughts on pairing the color of wood for the table and chairs? Do they need to be the same stain color? Or is it better to have them different so there isn’t so much of one wood color? Then would I do something contrasting or something in just a slightly lighter or darker shade?

I agree with the above to not paint them. And "brown" furniture is trending again. :) I like your seat covers. I think it feels heavy to you because every piece in the room is formal. Maybe mix in a more contemporary chandelier, a mirror or abstract art instead of the large painting over your buffet, and a different rug. You can find real turkish rugs on etsy for a very reasonable price. Or a seagrass would look nice too. (Seagrass can be cleaned with water/liquid products, stay away from jute and sisal in the dining groom.) Simplify the sconces and centerpiece, and have nothing on the table or else a simple something in the center--no dishes or tablecloth. This room is similar to yours. Real rug with contrasting orangey colors, living flowers, mirror. This one has antique but simplified lighting, one simple centerpiece, mirror.
