Oh, thank you!!! I was going to save the seeds of the rudbeckia, but I wanted to have the right name! I have loved this plant this year. It has stayed in bloom all summer it seems like. Dee, it is two toned. I love that look. It sounds like the polygonum id is unanimous as well. I'll yank it! I had never seen it before. The section where it showed up I have had so much problem with. I should have known if it was thriving it was a weed! :) Lisa

I don't have a clue what they are but very pretty! As far as growth habits, I have Peaches & Cream and Maya and both are slow growers for me...They are hardy outside here but never seem to get near the size of, or bloom as much as the non-variegateds. The one's I have in the ground are twards the front of the border since they seem to stay much shorter. I dug up a P&C last fall that'd been in the ground for 2 years and was amazed at how small the root system was on it...It could just be me or my zone or something, but from reading previous posts here and my experience, I'd think the variegateds are probably in the "least-vigorous brug" category.
