can a pro match permastone in an old wall?

if i take out the AC, can a pro match the permastone or is it going to look like a patch job no matter what. has to be done asap so i'm leaning toward a DIY quickie job with stucco patch and 'smooth' surface

Crisis averted. Today he measured and said he can move the outside unit over so that at most 6 in of it covers my air conditioner so basically somebody will have totally full access

Can a pro do it? Absolutely. That seems to not fit your timeline. What are you asking exactly?

New compressor outside will be installed in 2 weeks and it's very difficult to book anybody around here so I worry that there will not be enough space for him to work when he is able to get here. So if a compressor is placed in front of the opening will there be enough room for him to work.

I have GE Cafe CD FD, and the handle matches the Wolf's really well. Didn't plan on it for the matching handles, it just worked out that way. I like this fridge a lot, too. it looks really nice on the inside and holds more than you'd think, although it is CD so not as much as a regular sized fridge. We have the Monogram DW which has a plain, skinny straight handle. Great DW, and I don't mind the different handles at all. I just wanted everything straight, and straight everything is!!!

Thanks! @hollysprings, we are planning to extend the kitchen into the breakfast room, although between stairs and entry it's not as much useable space as it seems. @klem1, the main sewer line is located just behind the washer/dryer in the utility room, so about 5-6 feet beyond the kitchen sink drain. No one has suggested tunneling, or given me many details at all; we were all set to start with a contractor in September whose firm then imploded. So now we're waiting for a bit more warmth to start fresh. I wanted to get an additional quote on the cabinets, which is when a KD insisted that I was crazy to consider cracking the slab.

It may be doable, depends on how the spout attaches to the roughin. You mentioned the key items, diameter and thread size. If its a straight screw in attachment and the spouts are the same thread and diameter it should work.

This is the actual air conditioner that I will be removing but I'm also open the other ideas how to fill it

Do you have another location over to the side a few feet, that you could put the new unit. I have one partially in front of a window, and its a terrible location for a compressor. Its also not good for resale, to have a compressor in front of a window.

nope theres chimney , electric. cable phone etc etc. on one side (can even see partial cable in the pic,) and door on other side of the window about 1 foot out of frame. its a direct shot to my 2 new units inside from that location so i'm sure thats why he wants it there. he said you cannot block the electric meter and he didnt wanna cross a chimney. thought i dont know if you legally cant route it around a chimney or if he just thinks it's not a good idea to route it around the chimney. but even on the others side of the chimney is a window and a spigot and another door lol

You most likely will not even find anyone to do a half-a** job in that timeframe. Anyone worth their salt is booked months in advance but a custom matching job by someone who knows what they are doing within two weeks may be asking the impossible.

My main concern is once the new compressor is in front of the old air conditioner that they will not have access to make it look pretty that is my immediate concern. I don't care if it takes a year to fill in the air conditioner as long as they say they don't need that other compressor removed once it is installed

He agrees needs to come out again now especially since I changed inside unit placement and style. Also in pic above it's full afternoon sun and I wasn't thrilled with that

What about doing it in a month of 6 weeks after you no longer need the AC? Of course this is location dependent and maybe you need to adjust accordingly.

I was also going to get a small enclosure so my grass guy doesn't shoot stones into the units. Install is aug 29. And I'm happy to get in so quick. He said Sept starts ramping up again
