Paint Design Dilemma living room

Paint Color Help ! Chantilly Lace reviews please

So I need to make a decision by tonight . i want to paint the house a white color im 90% leaning towards benjamin moore Chantilly Lace. The sun comes in from the South. I really dont wabt the paint to look yellow and since chantilly lace has no undertones im leaning that way. however I dont want the house to look sterile. Im 100% going with a benjamin moore thats what my painter uses . has anyone painted their house chantilly lace and has pictures to share . I’d appreciate it !!! i see cloud white and sinply white but im afraid of the undertones and swiss coffee is way too yellow . Pictures of the space below.

I spec Chantilly Lace often. We used it here in this kitchen on the upper cabinets and the walls.

We did Chantily Lace for our entire house in the PNW and I love it. Clean. Fresh. My mother in law does interiors in Florida and specs it often. I

figure if two people with such different taste are

both happy with it, it must be a winner.

The Chantilly Lace is in my hallway and stairwell going to the upstairs, so I’m not sure how much decor I can put there. There’s no room for furniture. I have a beautiful warm wooden chandelier in the space with five 3000k bulbs. Are the bulbs part of the problem? Is the light too white? I painted the office (which isn’t near the hallway and stairs) in BM Graystone, the dining room in SW Dorian Gray, the mudroom area in SW Repose Gray with the built-in in Chantilly Lace, and the doors in the upstairs hallway in SW Dovetail. The Chantilly Lace seems way too white and bright. :/ I was trying to create a modern farmhouse, rustic look by going with white. I already had Chantilly Lace in my foyer and in my great room where there is board and batten, and I love it in those areas.

The only time you'll ever see $35,000 worth of 2 COROB's side-by-side!!! You MAY be able to tell which one is 15 years old..... ;-) We got the new Tinter when Ben-Moore products came into ACE Stores. We could'a converted the old girl, but some of the 16 pumps were getting hard to keep in calibration. The new "Baby" of mine has 4 all Stainless-Steel pumps with Ceramic coating inside. I think it was an additional $500 per pump. The "Oxide Colorants" need a more durable pump. Why am I bringing this up??!?!??! I don't play around with Paint, OR my equipment. Don't use white dove. I painted my walls with it and it was hella-dingy! repainted w/Simply White. so much better. (I also did my trim w/it) you will see a natural difference between the eggshell and the semi gloss finish. both of these are Simply White, but the trim looks brighter. it's just because of the reflective quality in the finish. You could try White Heron. Cheating Heart is another great color if you want some real contrast https://www.drivenbydecor.com/benjamin-moore-chantilly-lace/ U mentioned Crushed Ice. I have the walls in the kitchen painted Light Pewter. it's the same ballpark as crushed ice. you can see it here on these two walls. Again, Simply White on all of that trim. (cabinets were supposed to be that shade but they did a lacquer conversion and went one shade whiter, I think) IRL they look identical. night

Yes! Many cabinet refinishers will achieve incredible results spraying 2 component polyurethane's and 2 component conversion varnishes in a home... whether or not they should. Let's not forget that Conversion Varnish uses synthetic formaldehyde and will offgas for years, not to mention that Conversion Varnish is lovingly referred to by many painters as canned respiratory distress. Stick your head in a cabinet freshly painted with conversion varnish and win a free trip to the emergency room and a nice lecture from a doctor. Not to be outdone, 2k poly's have isocyanates. While isocyanates are used in small amounts and are only dangerous for a while (while aerosolized), they are quite dangerous. The deadliest industrial accident in history was the accidental release of aerosolized Methyl Isocyanate which injured over half a million people and killed several thousand. I am generally OK with 2k polyurethane's being sprayed in a home that will be vacant for the entire painting process and a couple of days after, but in my experience painters often adopt products and skip the safety precautions. Which is fine so long as the homeowner is aware of the dangers, but they are too often left in the dark. --- If this were my house, I would look into Envirolak 200, but still take a few days away.

My kitchen cabinets, all interior doors, all door trim, window trim, and all baseboards are Chantilly Lace and I am as happy as can be.

I had the entire interior of my home painted Chantilly Lace. There are windows on all sides so it gets lots of light. I'm also in southern central coastal California so the sun is strong.

I love, love, love this white. Rather than looking sterile its subtle cool undertone stays a rich gorgeous white. There is no yellow at all. It is the perfect white in my opinion, and it provides a luxurious background to my art and furniture.

BM Chantilly Lace is absolutely hands down the most luxurious, high end look, true white color IMHO. I painted a guest room that faces west w/ tons of light and the room is lovely and fresh, every one comments how fresh and comfortable the room feels. I also painted my living room, faces east and north and gets morning light only. It is light bright and lovely all day and night. Some people have asked me if I remodeled the living room, nope just painted it. The room stays white, does not go cool or have any tone changes even with winter east light. I live lake side and simply white turned a greenish yellow shade, cloud white went gray and cotton balls turned blue in my living room, I have wood furn and floors and the huge windows with green and blue lake & tree view so those colors bounce around inside a lot making it difficult to find a color that will stay true. Chantilly lace seems to just stay white. A lovely choice. Go for it!
