I don't know that I mind that combination: all chrome and nickel sconces. Maybe do a mock-up? Can you order the sconces and have a chrome back-up plan? I planned on using all chrome and had installed a chrome shower/tub fixtures. Then I picked scones in antique nickel, so even though I had chrome in the shower, I decided to do polished nickel everywhere else. Well none of the nickel finishes match either, the sconces are "antique" and the faucet is noticeably warmer tone than the cabinet hardware and towel ring. I'm really happy with the look! But if I did it over, I probably would have just had the sconces in nickel and kept chrome everywhere else. I think my fear of the chrome fixtures mismatching the nickel sconces was unfounded. Chrome would have been cheaper and easier to pick a towel hook, TP holder, etc. Here's a pic of the vanity area. The chrome isn't in this view, but the mismatched nickels are. I think your choice is a bit riskier but I wouldn't discount the option off hand.

We aren't doing a full remodel so the tub and shower plumbing isn't being changed. That is chrome. I love the shower head and afraid new ones wouldn't provide as good a shower. Lighting is already purchased and that is brushed nickel. The sink faucet, accessories, and vanity hardware will be replaced. Also a quartz top (Viatera Minuet or similar) and new sink. I thought chrome for faucets is a more durable finish. So right now if I go brushed nickel with everything new, the tub shower will still be chrome. The other thought was just plumbing in chrome and all else brushed nickel. Those are the 2 options I am thinking but open to more ideas and feedback on these. Thanks.

I agree the black would look fine. I think the brushed nickel at this point would be a disappointment just because it is the expected choice and you are being very deliberate to have a space that isn't the expected. If you decide to wait for what you want--a shower curtain with a spring rod would be inexpensive in the interim. It is quite sobering, hearing over and over how this or that is unavailable mostly due to *19 back up/world shut down after math. America has outsourced everything. Gone are the days of "Made in America" and we will be inconvenienced because of it.

Thanks Fori…I agree…this is a condo in SC and we’re going for a low-country vibe…soft grays, whites and aqua/blue/green. I think staying with the brushed nickel for the lever handles will be a nice update/upgrade and help keep the calm atmosphere.
