Doubling up Blue Hibiscus/Rose Sharon

Greg Joseph
last month

I have a 7-foot space where I was considering planting two Blue Hibiscus 1.5-2 feet apart in order to accelerate a fuller joined/hedged plant as the plants on both right and left are 8 years mature and nearing full size. The Hibiscus would require it's full maturity to really fill this spread appropriately, a decade or more, so this would get the space filled and evened out faster. Does this sound like a good plan? I have seen many people hedging Rose of Sharon via Google search/images. Thank you.
