Have you heard of this site for dresses - Lulus?

My daughter ordered a few dresses from Lulus for my son's wedding this weekend. She said that the quality is good, and she's going to wear this dress - in a color that I could never pull off!

The interesting thing about the site is the large number of customer photos of the clothing. It's helpful to see how the dresses (and other clothing) looks on a variety of body types and sizes.

It seems to cater to a youngish clientele, but many of the styles look like they would work for older women too. I wish that my daughter had first told me about it when I started looking for my MOG dress.

The only time I am a little sorry that I am 70 years old is when I see such a pretty dress which I am waaaaay to old to wear.

My DD just purchased an off the shoulder precious dress from Lulus and loves it. She says its made well and is very light and comfortable in the hot GA weather. She’s almost 40 but looks early 30’s

I have come it, but alas no petite sizing. Good to know it's good quality. I'll see if my DD’s have heard of it.

Minnie, I really hope Max doesn't leave the show too. I watch it, mainly for him! LOL dotmom, I agree 100 % about Derek's behavior. BTW, Mark Ballas was in town the other day. He sang with his two other bandmates. I sure was not impressed at all.

I replied over on the computer help forum about it. there are a couple in this same category. The problem is you have to pay them $10 per month as a "tech support" fee which really adds up since you still have to pay for your internet connection and you have to have a wireless router for the wireless in the unit to get a connection from what I understand. Plus I really do not know how they can legally get away with selling this product with linux on it with out breaking the GNU public license agreement. Personally I would just get them a low price pc wipe it clean and install one of the light free linux distros on it and let them use that. Pretty much the same thing and the cost would be much less. the price of the unit for what it is spec wise is ridiculous.

We have a large (4,000+) Freecycle group in my area so you can imagine the number of posts. I have given away several times but have only received once. You have to be sitting on your PC to catch something because with so many members, items are claimed quickly. I am venting and being judgmental here but my ideal give away would be only to people trying to help themselves or someone with an unusual need. What I see very frequently are post like "single mother of (fill in the blank)and one on the way". I really bite my tongue...I mean fingers. One guy smoked the entire time he was picking up while holding a BABY! Plus his car was filled with questionable items that one would normally put out of reach of a small or any child. He explained that he and the baby's mother were getting married and that's why she wanted the flowers that I offered. I wanted to pull back my offer and ask how the baby dealt with the smoke! There, I got it out--Slam me if you must.

I've looked but not ordered. My daughter uses it all the time because they deliver to her apt. building which is more convenient when you live in a big city and don't have a car.

Yes, Lulu’s is very popular for prom dresses. DD got hers there.

One of my nieces has purchased from Lulu-- I never checked them out though as I assumed it was for young women. That said-- I shop at Free People and they are also for a much younger age group.

The dress is lovely.. not a color I can wear either but it flows so beautifully!

That's my daughter's go-to site for wedding guest dresses (she's 26, so going to lots of weddings). They aren't all hits but they've all been pretty decent dresses.

Both of my daughters used Lulus quite a bit in high school for finding reasonably priced dresses they knew they would probably only wear once. IIRC the dresses were decent quality and they had a good return policy, which is always important to me when shopping online with no brick and mortar stores for returns.
