need help with rug color, style and arm chairs for dining room
Comments (9)I like to create an elegant yet comfortable dining room settings. I have a curier with displays, that will stay. The six chairs will be side chairs and I need two arm or no-arm chairs at each end. My idea of the rug is 9'x12' since the room is 12'x15'. I am not sure if the rug color is to match the light gray wall or to match the chairs. The table is maghogny color....See MoreI need to add color to my boring living room. New build
Comments (28)A statement art piece above the fireplace would be a natural focal point. Try picking at least one color from the artwork and repeating it in details around the room. Also resist the urge to choose an art piece that lines up with mantel edges. Use a piece that is narrower or wider to ensure that the artwork is a feature and not just an extension of the fireplace....See MoreHow Picking right arm chair and coffee table for living room?
Comments (15)The accent chest was not my decision lol. Some posters on here suggested similar console under art like you are but she don’t like it. The console under TV was a custom made piece of cabinetry along with floating shelfs and stained onsite. Thank you! Attached is ottoman we are thinking of getting. There’s also a beige one. We plan to put a larger tray on it. https://www.wayfair.com/furniture/pdp/ebern-designs-kincade-storage-ottoman-w000184845.html?prkit=false&piid=996231090...See MoreNeed Help Determining What Color Couch to Put in New Living Room
Comments (4)I don't know why but I remembered this saying by somebody: "When in doubt, go with chartreuse" ))) Cream would work..if leather-tan would look nice.. If you like colors of autumn-chances are you'll continue to like them..look for inspiration pictures with similar colors..can be very helpful to figure out the pallette. Even if you repaint-chances are you ll still go for something warm and enveloping..so whatever you pick in furniture would still work against different background. If you're not sure that's another thing. But most people have the general direction towards which they lean..preference for warmer colors(or rather shades) vs cooler..cleaner vs muddier..you can like all of them of course but say use the ones you lean to less as accents. Congratulations on your new house! seems a very comfortable one....See MoreRedRyder
