Suggestion on decorating a damaged wall
Comments (3)Thanks for your advice. After sorting out the cause of peeling and the odor of paint in repainting I'll repaint the wall. The other side of the damaged wall is next flat, not open air. The wall is very dry without a trace of moisture. Most the time the room is air-conditioned. My suspected cause is; a) The wall was not well prepared. Before painting, the wall was smooth and nicely plastered in white colour. I didn't sand it but painted latex on top. OR b) Quality of the latex paint. I also painted the kitchen and toilet in the same way and at the same time but using waterproof latex. Up to now there is no problem, neither cracking/flaking/peeling found. Unfortunately I already dumped the tub. Neither I have recollection of its brand and quality. I'm prepared to make a test-painting to check the wall in a small area. Please advise; a) What quality of Latex to be used b) In which way I have to prepare the wall Thanks I'll buy a small tin for this purpose....See Moresuggestions for wall decor
Comments (15)Gosh, art is SO personal and there are thousands of choices at reasonable prices... Look here:https://www.art.com/gallery/id--d207233/framed-art-prints.htm to see what appeals. If there's a Home Goods near you, they have inexpensive art, too. I would say that you need something bright and then you can take one or two of the colors from that for pillows......See MoreDecor suggestions for concave hallway wall.
Comments (24)Here are the colors of the walls - The main walls are SW Loggia; the Ceiling of the “rotunda” is Comfort Gray to coordinate with the master bath which is SW Silvermist; I also have Comfort Gray in my Kitchen dining niche to balance the ceiling rotunda. Many have suggested painting the curved wall an accent color - should I paint it the Comfort Gray? Change the ceiling color? Or do I choose another color altogether like Jodie White suggested? The curvature of the wall is 53” wide and 11.5” deep. Again, you have all been so incredibly helpful, many, many thanks....See MoreTall Walls/High Ceiling Decor (PICS)
Comments (9)Draperies that start at the tall ceiling and go down to the floor would look beautiful, add interest, warmth, and life to the room. But they cost a lot. I will link a thread with a lot of pics and suggestions. https://www.houzz.com/discussions/5796508/window-treatments-for-2-story-great-room-windows...See MoreMira George
