Your garages are almost the same size as the house itself, plus jut out, making the house itself less prominant. Here are some approaches to pull the eye to the left and make the house more dominant than it is now:

--Hire a professional landscape designer to create a front garden even deeper than this one to focus attention away from the garages. Add much better stand alone and exterior lighting near the front door.

--Consider a wide walkway from the driveway where you now have a garden bed that can also work as an inviting front patio. While you have some very nice plantings by the entryway, maybe you can relocate them in a redesigned front garden bed.

A pergola and nicer garage doors would upgrade that side. Keep in mind your brown roof, which is quite visible, so any exterior painting you do has to harmonize with that roof.

IMO the garage doors need to be awsome sing they are front and center . What styles do you like? IMO a carriage garage door would not be appropriate . This type of placement for a house screamd for a wakway from the street to the front door and right now I can't even see the front door so remove the overgrowth then take a pic of the entry .I think if you ar eplanning on painting the siding remove those hokey sunbursts and the arched window that are never attractive and this house leans a bit modern so is that something you might like .This is one of my faves for brick houses the siding color is awesome with brick from your idea books you tend to go more classic so this color would work.

Yes, I absolutely want to get rid of the sunburst. I agree with upgrading the garage doors too. What are your thoughts of paint colors, should I accent the trim in a different color? What do you think about windows and entry door design?
