That tv corner is awkward. Can you get high, corner piece, that is light and airy, and more contemporary. Something you can put the tv on, and the tv could have a cabinet underneath, and maybe a couple of shelves above. I do think that it should white, and modern . The corner looks bottom heavy, and white or some other light color that is close to the wall color would look much better. The windows look nice and clean, and let the natural light in. At most i might put a mesh shade in the a color close to the wall color, or something in a natural bamboo look. I can't see what is on the leather chairs, but they could use a pillow, maybe in bright mongolian lamb, ( they have many on this website for sale ), but I would keep the backgrounds of the room, which means basically, the floor and walls ( which forms an envelope ), and bring in color on the pillows, or throw, and art work that is either black and white photography, or high color art work, that shows up somewhat solid. Nothing faded, or feminine. The room has good bones, and it needs strength.

There is absolute zero need for a matched table. We have no clue the size of the room or the size of the table.......do we? : ) Show a pic of the existing space, some dining rooms you love as inspo pics too. What's your floor? Will you have a rug? What is around the room in other rooms? You haven't enough info to suggest....yet

Hi all, These are some GREAT ideas and thank you for the pictures! The mental institution comment really got me laughing :) I took the curtains down and the board and batten (installed by the previous owner) is not centered. It ends about 3” from the window on the left and an 1” from the window on the right. I immediately went NOPE and put the curtains back up. I like the board and batten but the curtains are definitely hiding that imperfection! I also have very close neighbors, and this room looks directly into their bright blue garbage cans :( as such, I like the windows somewhat covered. That being said, the room is also super dark and I want some natural light. I can’t win! The current blinds are custom (previous owner) and match the rest of the house, so I’m hesitant to take down. Do you think that replacing the the rods with black, getting clip hangers, and putting everything at a proper height (either higher and not pooling or lower and pooling correctly) would help? I did at least try to stick with a sheer fabric. Not married to the dark gray, and don’t hate the idea of wallpaper. What editing app do you all use? I love all the pictures - they help so much!

Are they wanting to rearrange just to make this feel a little more complete? Is there another room that they use as a living room, or is this the entire main living space? If it's the main space and they watch TV and also dine, I think the way they have it currently laid out is close to what it should be. Sometimes it's hard to tell from just pics, but it seems as if the diing is next to the island in the kitchen area whch would be appropriate, and the rest of the space is used for casual living room. Are they looking to get something new/different for furniture or just wanting to rearrange? If you have measurements of the room on each side (or even better, a drawing of where the walls and doors are) it would help us visualize and give pointers on some better placement suggestions!
