White flowers for shady zone 8

I want to add white flowers to my landscape in front of the house. There is an elevated front porch with 2’ high boxwoods in front. I will probably try to move some coral colored amaryllis in between each boxwood. The amaryllis blooms at about 18” certain times of the year, otherwise it is green stalky leaves. There is grass in front of the boxwood area, but there is room for more plants.

This area is in the shade, but gets some sun and filtered light from the trees. We usually get good rain and the sandy loam soil drains well. I prefer not to irrigate or maintain other than trimming/pruning. No annuals. We are in zone 8.

The house is painted medium to dark colors, so I’d like to add as much white as possible year round. I was thinking about layering a row of low shrubs or groundcover in front of the boxwoods and amaryllis, but I am open to ideas.

What plants should I be looking at?
