Cork Backed Laminate Floors on Slab Vapor Barrier

Carl Herman
last year

I recently purchased a house in the Bay Area of CA. We have a concrete slab on grade and had the floors replaced with Nucor LVP with a cork backing. I recently discovered my contractor did not use a moisture barrier. They offered to refund the labor or redo the job at no cost. We are all moved in a would prefer to keep the refund, but do not want to have issues with buckling or mold later on. Any advice on whether to keep the refund and roll the dice or have them redo? I figure if there’s buckling maybe I can redo one or two planks rather than do the whole job now…
