Thanks for the response. I'm in the initial stages of planning, so I don't have answers to your questions. I'm just looking for general comments as to why someone would need 3/4" rather than 1/2"? I understand you can theoretically deliver more water in less time, but in drip watering that may not be the desired outcome. I assume there is a point where psi would require 3/4" rather than 1/2"? The only thing I know for sure at this point is that I will have two separate runs off a splitter that go to opposite sides of my house. Each run will be no more than 100' total. It will strictly be drip for garden beds and 5 gallon buckets. Others have suggested 1/2" since it is the most used. At what psi will fittings blow out of 1/2" but not 3/4"?

pressure regulator present? too much pressure can cause an issue Chances are you did not have the nut rotated in the proper position before pushing the tubing on. The nut is supposed to be rotated all the way in(towards the center of the tee), to expose the maximum amount of the female portion that goes into the tubing. After you push the tubing all the way on (push and wiggle on as much as possible), then the nut is supposed to rotate outwards and squeeze the tubing between the rotating nut and the portion that is inside the tubing. This may be counterclockwise and not the typical righty tighty lefty loosey. I did it incorrectly before with a different brand. If you did it correctly, just exchange it. It might just have enough of a defect to let it pop off.

Our plumbing cost was $420 to change from two sinks to one. An additional sink, faucet, and sink cutout by the fabricator would have been at least that if we had replaced our original two-sink vanity with the same setup. The offset single sink option is cheaper as you'd only have to cap off the second drain and water. You could do a double light over the sink and the counter so there'd be no need to change your electrical boxes. I considered the offset option and have several photos in my Vanity and Mirrors Ideabook.
