Hi @Anna K. & others! Your DW looks great! I'm about to order the new Bosch Dishwasher & also want to use RINGHULT with the Blankett handle as you did! [I currently have old Ikea Abstrakt doors but I'm told Ringhult is the same]. I see that you that you used a cover panel, not a door like many others here have. The panel is ⅝" thick. Bosch says not to use a panel less than ¾" . Also there is no Ringhult panel. It looks like the Forbattra Cover panel is what matches the white gloss doors & since they are ⅓ the price of Ringhult, I would love to use that. Did you use the Forbattra panel? For those who have used an Ikea 24 X 30" door, some have mentioned that there are pre-drilled holes in the doors where the Bosch screws go. Has anyone had a problem with that & how did you work around it? Thx!

A panel front dishwasher DOES NOT sit 2" out from the cabinets. That is not normal. Period. I'd be mad if it sat 1/8" out from the cabinets. I have a panel front Bosch and inset cabinets. My dishwasher sits perfectly flush with the cabinet faces. That is the way they are designed the be installed. The hose is your problem. You have to pull the DW back out and pull the hose into the cabinet under the sink as someone else pushes it back in. Do this and you will have plenty of room for both the DW and the panel front. Spend some time getting the panel to sit flush, level, square, and with an even reveal (gap around the sides of the panel). There are feet you can adjust on the front, and a screw in the front center that adjusts the back leg. Once you have that, install your brackets to hold it in place. If the job is too much for you or your husband, have a pro do it. You'll both be happy you did.

@hallettco I used an Amish cabinet maker - just measured and the finish height is 34 1/2" but the toe kick is only 3 3/4" - so that's the discrepancy. Apparently these are the specs he always uses, but they don't make sense when trying to have a dishwasher that coordinates with the cabinets and toe kicks. I'm surprised he didn't run into issues before, even with dishwashers that aren't panel ready the toe kicks of the cabinets and dishwasher wouldn't align. Or other clients didn't care or notice... Didn't think I needed to specify the toe kick height with him since that's typically standardized. What type of filler did you use on that dishwasher? I did a google search but mostly ran across fillers for ranges. Or I need to track down those sliding hinges. That seems like a decent option if I can find them. Thanks for the help!

No, the brackets attach the dishwasher to the cabinet sides or countertop after the dishwasher is set in place. See section 4.10 of the instructions linked above. Section 4.3 of those instructions shows that a hole is to be cut into the adjacent cabinet for the power cord, water, and drain lines. There is no space behind the dishwasher for the electrical outlet and plug as the dishwasher is 23-9/16" deep.
