How To Hang Curtains on Corner Windows

Looking for advice on how to hang curtains. This is in our master bedroom. There are windows on either side of the two windows pictured here, about 5-6 feet apart. I was planning to use double rods with acorn finials but I am wondering if the two corner windows are too close to each have their own rod? That being said, I think a wrap around would look odd and then I would have an odd bunch of curtains in the middle, right in the corner of the room, when curtains are open.

My curtains are a silk/linen blend, off white. Medium weight. Was planning to have some sheers on the 2nd rod for privacy as this bedroom is on the ground floor.

Please excuse the clutter in photo, we just moved in!

Another option. Use an adjustable corner connector to link the two rods

If the rod finials are the problem, you can use medallions instead to hang the curtain off of....and drape each side to the corner with a tie back. [Traditional Living Room[(https://www.houzz.com/photos/traditional-living-room-ideas-phbr1-bp~t_718~s_2107) Only thing is, in the right corner, if that's a security or safety device, it may have to be moved ... most likely you can't have a curtain covering it. Or if you were planning on hanging the rod at the upper mullion instead of above the window trim, then a rod that turns the corner

The second one might work if you have the bracket just out enough from the corner so that the end piece will be touching the wall. Curtains should be able to cover that much of the rod. Might have to "scrunch" the curtains over a little. If you use curtains with grommets, that would take care of the problem. How high are you putting your rod? I have sheers on all my windows and love the look.

As just above. Skip the double rod idea, use a cell shade mounted inside as you have for the total privacy beneath. Opaque, translucent whatever. You don't need three layers of covering. Limit it to TWO as the photo above. You need the rods to afford you the connector/ the elbow: Go to a Pottery Barn, they'll help you

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I had found the above solutions when I researched. Two problems: I don't like the way curtains looked bunched in the center and using only one panel on far left and far right of corner rod does not provide enough curtain when closed. Does anyone think I have enough room to hang two individual rods? Or will I just end up with curtains bunched in the corner again when opened.

Re the blinds and sheers: The blinds are room darkening because both my DH and I are light sleepers and need a really dark room. So we definitely need the blinds. The house sits on a small lot and bedroom is on the ground floor. I like daylight during the day but want privacy. Need the darkening blinds so the only option I can figure out is to have sheers to allow for both light and privacy during the day. I want my curtains to match throughout the house and already have them; don't want to invest in room darkening curtains and I'm not sure the place I got them from makes that kind anyway.

You DOUBLE the panels on the far left and far right for balance. You mount a wood blind or plantation shutter beneath the panels and the blade tilts on either will allow both light and privacy and black out

More than that you don't need. .......no matter how lightly you sleep

You don't need to yank any curtain closed

Double panels on the right and left seems oddly out of balance? The photos poeple posted above don't seem to have two panels on them, but it's hard to tell for sure. I can't redo the blinds, what is pictured is brand new. I don't see any sense in replacing them with wood blinds anyway.

The problems with ”too much curtain bunched in the corner” and ”not enough curtain on the ends to cover the window” are easily solved. Curtains are cloth and easily altered. Find a seamstress to help. And/or buy more curtains for the ends.
