whenicit, Thanks, but I need LOTS of help! The other advantage to the 2nd layout in BR1 is that the headboard is rather high and if I put it along the wall, it won't block the windows which would probably be better. I'll see about adding seating when I get the beds assembled. We may have room and it would give me a project to scour antique shops. That is what I'm planning on doing for a nightstand in the second bedroom. A little shabby/chic, beachy. I was going to look through some "Real Simple" magazines for inspiration. I'm not sure exactly what I want yet, but I though a "weathered" table, perhaps in a fun color, would go nicely with the iron bed. ajsmama, Thank you for the suggestion on BR1. I agree that swaping the nightstand is much better. On BR2, I think I could move the dresser closer to the door. The only think I actually don't like about the dresser in that position in general is that I'm not fond of the look of it from the side, but no mater how far forward or backward it is, I'm going to have that problem... If you are considering buying any of the ones you posted, try and get the smallest size available because if it doesn’t work out, it will be much easier to return. Just remember to check the return policy and possible restocking fee.

I became quickly overwhelmed with trying to get the Blue Trellis rug to work that it just began to be too much- so I am giving it away to a "friend of a friend" lol... NOW- I found a rug on Pinterest I think would pair very nicely but there is no link to it. Does anyone know where I can find this rug? I would ideally love it to be exact because I like the border but at this point, I can't be too picky.

Eld, partly because of the dust but also because i like to be able to push the bed aside at times. My vac has an attachment that could reach under there but rugs seem to hold dust. I like to use a dust mop, or I should say that I like for the cleaning lady to use a dust mop. My bed is really heavy and has an upholstered headboard. I like to push it away from the wall to vacuum the back of the headboard and also the baseboards. Yeonassky, whoever gets out of the other side of the bed gets to step on really cold floor. That part of the floor is over an overhang. If it’s my cat or dog, they could just jump over me. 😉. I am leaning toward a rug that covers the open floor area but does not go under any furniture.
