Cleaning Butcher Block Cutting Board

For those that have one of the large butcher block cutting boards (the 2-3 inch thick ones) - how do you do daily maintenance? I understand the need to oil/season as needed but after each daily use of just cutting random veggies/fruit, etc do you need to bring to the sink and wash each time or can it just be wiped down if the board is properly oiled already?
