Sunday's Brain Game---SOLUTION!
Comments (76)I guessed 'Toronto Green Jays' for A3, as the j's are very green on my monitor. But I don't think Green Jays go that far north, so I Googled it, and thus found 'Toronto Blue Jays'. So I didn't come by that answer honestly. Had 'Zip up' for B1, never heard of ZZ Top, so I Googled them just now. I'm not a fan of rock music, so not surprising I didn't know that one. And while I did come up with the correct saying for C1, it made no sense to me. Does that count? Looks like I'm doomed to always missing one or two. Oh well, it's a fun game regardless. Comments (110)I think my brain took one look at all those shapes and said 'UH uh, nope, no way. not doing geography.' So I argued with it off and on all day, and ended up doing a little better than I thought I would, I did get everything but 2, 6, 7, 8, and 10 right. I knew #2 was Tennessee, but couldn't come up with anything for it, never heard of Tennessee Tuxedo. Finally figured out the blue thing in #6 was Turkey, but was hung on it being a country, so tried to make the yellow stuff be something connected to that. Didn't recognise the shape of Georgia, was stuck on chocolate for #7. Was sure #8 was 'CHiPS', never heard of California split. I thought #10 was Virginia. Yes, I am REALLY bad at geography! And I got #12 thanks to Lars' comment. I shut down the computer right after my last post last night so I missed all those last hints, I like to think I could have gotten #6 if I'd seen them. This was really an intersting learning experience, and fun, too. Now that I have a little better idea how they work, hopefully I can do better next time. I think I like the 'old' type puzzle we've been doing better, but this is more of a challenge, and challenges can be fun. Whatever kind of puzzle you want to post, Jasdip, is fine with me. Comments (45)4. Paradox: Ugh yes we did gave that in the para puzzle. In addition to “doctor doctor” that others had, I considered ”second degree,” ”two degrees,” etc. 6. No two ways about it: I was so close. had the “about it” part but the best I had was ”knows about it.” I knew it was wrong. 8. You are full of baloney: Ok this one I’m annoyed about. I moved too far away from the actual words and had ”up to your knees in cr4p.” I didn’t like it but people were laughing so I talked myself into it. Rest I got. Not too bad. Sometimes I don’t like the variety but this one was fun!...See MoreUser
