What is the most scented honeysuckle that isn't invasive?

Martin B
last year

I have a full sun location next to a window in zone 9/10 in dry southern California. I would like something that is fragrant at night, since the window leads to bedrooms that we keep open at night during the summer.
I originally wanted cestrum nocturnum, but my puppies chew on everything. And everything I've read states that it's way too toxic for small mammals.
I'm thinking of honeysuckle, but the most fragrant variety (Japanese) is extremely invasive. I have an orchard nearby that I do not want taken over by the honeysuckle. What is the most fragrant honeysuckle variety at night that isn't invasive?
