Exterior stucco paint color nightmare

Hi All,
I desperately need some advice/help. I've been searching for 6 months and have 100s of paint samples and still can not find the "right" color for the exterior of my house. The exterior of my house is stucco - when I find a nice color it just doesn't look right on the stucco. My neighbor to the left house is gray and to the right their house is white. I really need some help picking a color that works on stucco and will not make my house stick out like a sore thumb in the neighborhood. But I would like something a little different than the normal stucco colors. This is my first house so I need as much help as possible. All suggestions are welcome!

I would consider this very pale pink with sage color scheme. It would look so lovely with your roses. The gray weathered fence on the far left complements it. Will the newer section be allowed to weather?

It could be many colors with your roof. The only color I would not use is cool gray. I would like it in a brighter shade of white and paint the wood sections the same color as the stucco. It looks like you have tried out a greenish gray and that would work also.

You have a lovely house ..white stucco with some charcoal grey with blue undertones for some trim areas and garage door would be very refreshing in a sea of beige to taupe track homes, a kind of California modern look. Changing the look of the garage door to either match your pergola color or a trim color will go a long way to update , giving you great curb appeal. The red tile roof gives you some thing to run with for bumping up the style. I would add some Saltillo tile for the porch and walkway to repeat that roof color , some new lighting that's larger in scale and some more structural plantings such as blue agave.

Have you been keeping track of what you did and didn't like about the colors you have already tried? If you can tell us that certain colors were too light or too dark, or two yellow/green/blue whatever the issue is, someone may be able to help you. Also, sometimes there are just too many choices and we get decision paralysis. Something that is close may be close enough and you should end the torture and use it. Whatever you choose your neighbors are not likely to be nearly as critical about it as you are - unless you have a neighbor who thrives on criticizing other people. In that case, you can't take it personally - you can ignore that person. :-)

Lol- yes you are right! I am being very critical. I've tried blues, grays (different shade from my neighbors) and some of the darker brown shades. I dont want white or yellow. I am leaning towards a lighter neutral brown and the suggestion about muted green is a great idea. I had tried darker shades of green, but it just didn't look right.

The one thing that catches my eye right away is the front door. It is a reproduction of a faux leaded glass windowed Victorian door that doesn't go with the architecture of your house.

With all that wood fence between you and your neighbors, their home colors don't really impact you. However, the wood color of the fence definitely affects the color you choose.

That Victorian door doesn't work with your MCM home. I would just paint the house gray with white trim and add a while front door.

A light gray/green would work nicely with your roof and fence colors. Nice with white trim.

The brown idea looks gloomy to me. Maybe something like these.

I also like the pink idea mentioned above. Kind of a salmon pink with pretty trim in white or soft green.

I would paint the door too unless budget allows for a new door.

The one thing i would do is a white wash on the new fence…as the raw wood doesn’t really fit in with the charm of your new home…

You can use your new paint color…watered down…. for the wash on the fence
