Is my Rhaphidophora Tetrasperma variegated?

last month

I recently noticed a slightly lighter patch on one of my RT’s, and while photographing it came to notice more on some of the other leaves. There are 4 in total with this pattern.

Could this be variegation? If not, what could it be?

The plant is currently around 15cm in height and 20cm in width. Will future leaves have this same appearance, or revert back to normal?

I have high hopes for this, but I can’t get too excited yet. What are your opinions?

IMO this is not variegation or not the type of variegation you can expect to continue. But even if it were, the care would be the same. Give it proper soil, water, light, fertilization and wait to see what happens.

As soon as possible. Aroid seeds do not stay viable for a long time. if you wait for a certain time of year they will die. You can start them in a slightly damp folded paper towel in a zipper bag and when it has roots about a half inch long transfer them to soil. keep them away from cold and in bright indirect light. No direct sun!

Hello Michelle, Yes my tetrasperma is now growing quite well after a bit of a hiccup. I didn't notice that during the rearrangement of what we call our tropical house the main stem had been broken and the plant, although growing was producing tiny leaves. Anyway a bit of remedial work and it seems to be recovering and sprouting well ,will see how it grows through the year. Tell

I recently saw a huge philodendron houseplant that had a hoya growing in it. I think the rhaphidophora would be really cool growing up a FLF. I suspect the rhaphidophora will grow pretty fast though and might overtake the FLF. However, you can always take cuttings off and keep it in check. If you decide to do it, I'd love to see pictures!
