What color should I paint the exterior stucco of my house?
Comments (46)Maybe you can try a large swatch of the finalists and see what happens after a couple weeks. It depends on what color your "dirt" is. Your side yard is all paved so I don't really know that you would pick up much from the ground. The light stucco on my building bases did not seem to get too dirty. Some of the darker colors were darker than the actual dirt or airborne "soot" or whatever it is, and showed dirt more. Kind of like a dark car (or black pants to use your analogy)...So it depends on your local environment....See MoreExterior paint color ideas for 1926 stucco home in the Northeast
Comments (15)I got outvoted on sage, but we found a dark blue color at Sherwin WIlliams that I think will look really nice. We have to get some samples and try them out to test the different lighting. It's dramatic and I like it. No one else on the street has this color. What do you think? Thank you everyone for your help. It's nice to get outside perspective....See Moreexterior stucco paint color for house with tile roof built in 1980
Comments (8)It could be many colors with your roof. The only color I would not use is cool gray. I would like it in a brighter shade of white and paint the wood sections the same color as the stucco. It looks like you have tried out a greenish gray and that would work also....See MoreExterior Trim and Stucco Color for Red Brick House - HELP
Comments (4)I'm glad you're firm about not painting the brick. The brick is a natural, textured feature of your house that allows it to breathe and requires litte maintenance over time. Since you have a visible light brown roof, your trim needs to work with that as well as the brick. Here are houses with the same varieted brick as yours, one with a brown roof. You can pick up a greige for the trim with maybe a light blue or yellow door or this light green. Just don't do white--too much contrast. I'm showing this for the tan. Though the door is handsome and like yours, a lighter door might be better on your house since it's receded and looks too dark right now....See MoreJinx
