Love it! We owned a condo in Harvard Sq that was built in the late 1800's. We had the same floor tile and wall tile. Would you wallpaper?

I was thinking a black and white wall paper too. Not a fan of silly or bold. Something simple.

The good news is that almost any color goes with black and white. I would leave the cabinets white, however. What colors does she have elsewhere in her house? For me, Venetian Portico is too muddy a color. If she likes pink, do a truer pink, or orange if that's what she likes. Bright green, white or gray would work, too. Blue is actually pretty popular with black and white bathrooms.

That is a very nice black and white bathroom.

Wallpaper can be fun and also nice, but it depends on the feel you are going for in the room. You would also want to get a wallpaper that would do well in humid areas

Personally, I think I would just do a white or cream paint. A greige could also work; BM’s Edgecomb Grey is one of those. And I’d leave the cabinets alone. Maybe bring in a new vanity light.

We have BM Edgecomb Gray in a bath with similar colors (though sadly we do not have that floor so were trying to mute some large pinkish tiles from the 90s). Our new bath has green/white/black tile with a similar look and has BM Swiss Coffee, which would work here too if she wants more of a white. But I agree that wallpaper could be fun!

Lavender. Mint green. Possibly both.
