How to replace porcelain sink with farmhouse without replacing corian?

Gary DIYer

Hi all,

Without replacing the Corian countertop, I want to replace our 41" porcelain sink with a 42" stainless farmhouse but the farmhouse back edge ends in front of the sink holes. Is there a good way to add a contrasting strip of corian or butcher block between the existing corian and the back of the farmhouse to cover the sink hole and support the faucet. What substrate would be needed to support this?

Thanks for any tips!
