I would do art above the toilet. I personally think the shelves make the area look too (top) heavy and cluttered. With your cabinet and it looks like medicine cabinet do you need more storage from open shelving? You can find pretty framed at a lot of places. I would go with a silver leaf. For art try art.com. There are also several shops on Etsy that have some beautiful framable prints. Often they will customise them for you by color. I would do a nice matting within the frame of white.

Have you looked at some watery blue/ greens for wall color . I love those colors in bathrooms the color now definately does not work with the vanity Your art seems to be hung a bit high the center of the piece should be at eye level so 60-65 " from the floor . BTW I need to see the floor so take a pic from further back out in the hall if you have to and that will also let us see more of the bathroom. I happen to love white fluffy towels so not a big deal for me to keep the towels and shower curtain white. Is tah just a shower or a tub/ shower?

it's a cute room. how much color do you want? I wish I had a powder room. I'd go crazy decorating it! People forget the ceiling and how much it can add to a room. or the area above the toilet. the simple art is underwhelming. I'll show you some pics of shelving that you can have a bit more fun with. Bunch of pictures. Bunch of ideas. you pick what you like, don't like. (BTW, you know they have peel and stick wallpaper, yes? you could use it for the ceiling. or maybe just one wall) What if you jazzed things up and pulled that red color from the rug onto the ceiling? I don't know what kind of ceiling light you have, but a cool chandelier would be perfect w/this color ceiling. This light would be be perfect. if the red is too much for you, pick a darker shade than what's on your wall. maybe do a metallic silver I also like this wainscot and wallpaper. how much work/$$ do you want to spend? Wallpaper is a great idea for powder rooms. you needn't do the entire room. you could: paper only the ceiling (and on this one they did all the walls in black. this would look really good w/your style vanity and lights) paper only one wall paper all the walls but do a wainscont on the bottom, paper on top of it. this one is pretty. don't forget the ceiling light: This one is super cute w/the dark gray ceiling, ceiling light, a beadboard wainscot and a nice wallpaper. Since you do have tall ceilings, I think you could do something like this w/a darker color on top, or on the ceiling you could do (this is picture frame molding) around the bottom portion You could also try painting (only the towel wall) one dramatic color, and replacing those towels w/something more eye-catching. I think a black wall w/art, colorful towels, would amp it up Pick out one of the red/pink colors in the rug and get some larger towels in that color to hang. Another simple idea. The towel wall? paint it a dramatic color. I like black w/your modern vanity style, but a deep blue to match your rug would also work. so would red. They hung a huge macreme piece on this one. I think your towels could be moved over by the sink since that towel bar is too small. Another option, try doing just the toilet area in dark, add some wood shelves and accessories (move the art to the towel wall) This is a piece of art you need for that one wall (no towels) you need something substantial and something w/color, or some type of design) Over the toilet area move the art and instead do some wall to wall shelves like this one (or get some marble w/silver brackets) do the exact same accessories like they have paint the whole room that deep blue shade in the rug
