Is there something you don't like about this bathroom project?

I wanna have something similar for a bathroom in my own home. Does everything look on point in this project? I wonder if there is too much pink.

I would not want the toilet and bidet to be the first thing you see when entering the bathroom. They seem to be an immediate focal point. They would be better suited for the wall where the current towel warmer is on. Then, move the sink to the bidet's current location. The pink feels disconnected from the other elements. The towel warmer feels really far away from the tub. There's no counter space or storage for toiletries. I'd focus first on function and then dial in the design elements.

It‘s not that there is too much pink, but think there is a disconnect in tile’s style and color with the rest of the space.

It’s not well designed regarding functionality in my opinion.

It took me a year to make a final decision on my kitchen cabinets. I kept going back to my first love - green. But I thought, like you, that it would be dated and I would hate myself for going against the norm. But, I loved them as soon as they were installed and I still love them - enough so, that I used the same in my master bath. If I ever try to sell the house, it will have to be to someone who has the same tastes but I don't really care. So, my advise is the same as others - if you love the color, get it!

HI Mary, have you considered saving money using white tiles topped with a show-stopper, multi-color border or "chest-rail"? This way you get your color on the walls that you can even replace down the line if wish without redoing the whole wall. For the floor, we picked the brown from the wall and did small 1" mosaic-style so would add grout traction (very important on shower floors: do with a rougher finish tile if can) I don't know where you are but check out this approach we did here in the Southwest. Granted, it's Spanishy, but you could do something more quiet that matches your overall home style.

Hi all, we are mostly finished with this and I thought I would post finished pics since many of you gave me advice. We decided not to paint the cabinets in the bathroom after all, and I think it's perfectly nice (if a bit boring.) It's better in person than in pictures for some reason. We also color blocked the walls and I think it's pretty nice although probably not everyone's taste.

What do you like about this bathroom? The tile choice? The colors? The wood paneling? The flooring? The fixtures? The mural behind the tub? If you can identify, clearly, the items that you are drawn to, that can help you prioritize what needs to be done or even IF it can be done in your home.

Pink tile is a commitment. Why not paint the walls pink and choose and run floor tile up on the wall.

The tub location, in addition to making the floor area difficult to keep clean, feels shoved into a corner/claustrophobic. Not a place I'd enjoy spending time.

It's very large but inefficiently laid out but still manages to squeeze the tub into a spot where it's impossible to clean around and to put a tiny sink into a spot next to the door.

Also the toilet and bidet do not have the same shape so do not appear to be from the same suite of fixtures.

I don't find much to like in that bathroom. I want a bathroom that puts practicality at the top of the priority list. Where do you hang your hand towel and where do you keep your toothbrush and toothpaste?

Thanks for the handy tips, really. I guess I'll have to tweak a lot to put functionality over looks. Or is it better to start anew from scratch?

A bathroom staged for looks, not use. And I hate the rude-word-that-starts-with-a-T pink.
