Think it is the manufacturer. I have brushed nickel in the kitchen, Delta with a Kohler drain. No spots. A Pfister, recommended by the plumber, is in the downstairs guest bath. Can't say I have spotting on the fixture. Guess we don't splash on it. BUT the drain cap on the pop-up drain became horrible fast. The minerals clung to the drain cap so bad we thought we would never remove it. Now we wipe any drop of water that gets on it. So a wash cloth sits on the counter just for that purpose.

Mine swivels. And I made the sink large enough to fill a bucket, which requires a faucet that can move out of the way. This one is more often used as a bar sink faucet (and sadly discontinued in this size.) I wanted it so badly that I bought it on eBay. I LOVE it! I’m a big fan of making the bathroom sink useful for things beyond tooth brushing and hand washing. Tiny oval sinks with squat faucets just don’t make a lot of sense to me.

Sorry, but it's near impossible to identify a generic faucet from a single image unless the respondent owns the exact same faucet. Take several shot from top, side, front and 3/4 view. Most name faucets have the name engraved somewhere on the faucet. Did you check the back? (Use a mirror). Provide some sort of history. How old is it? When was it installed? Even with all this info, the chances are still slim. I found several that are close, but not an exact match
