Is $475 a reasonable markup on a $250 furnace gas valve?

A new gas valve runs about $250. I was billed $725 to replace it. In your experience, is that reasonable.

After 12 years, our York Affinity 9.C needed a new gas valve. A technician from the original installer did the replacement while I was out of town. The part (White Rodgers 36J27-508) seems to be available online for about $250. Let's conservatively assume that the labor is an hour. And let's allow the installer a markup for holding the part in inventory. Does $725 seem reasonable, in your experience?
