Gray is trendy and not classic. Just select a floor with a classic appearance. Select an engineered hardwood, or even consider a well make laminate.

@dan1888 have you installed the Sylvan? I am sold on it from the samples, but trying to decide between Anza and Balboa. The samples are darker than the photos online. I love the Balboa sample but it looks greyish and much paler in the photos online.

There are many to choose LVP. Harwood is always the best choice until it isn’t.

In many condos hardwood flooring is not allowed so that would be the first piece of info we . LVP flooring will never match your cabinets real and fake wood are never a good combo. .

I do agree that plastics are a problem, but deforestation is also a huge problem, so please stop with recommending wood over LVT as an environmentally friendly option. Bamboo, cork, reclaimed wood may fit the bill, not not wood.

Do you have people living below you? The removing the rug and replacing with a hard surface may not be allowed because of noise. You might get away with cork with an underlay.
