HELP!! Which way to run flooring (Tongue and Groove Ceiling)

B Chowmein
last month

My wife and I recently purchased our first house and have planned to redo the flooring.
Ive done some research that suggests that the flooring should run parallel to the longest wall, follow the light, and run perpendicular to the entryway.
My conundrum is that we have an awesome vaulted ceiling with exposed beams and tongue and groove cedar that runs the opposite way that the floor should run if i follow the above rules.
I know that there arent exacts and that it may come down to preferance, but ive found this community to always have some great input.
I will provide some pictures
