cabinet boxes: Cleaf linen melamine or maple plywood?

Hi All,

We have a new build and have pretty extensive cabinetry in the house. We want painted doors and drawer fronts that will be some shade of ivory or light latte color. The cabinet maker is recommending Cleaf melamine cabinet boxes in the linen finish over maple plywood boxes and he thinks that would look more high end and be a better color match for the ivory door and drawer fronts. He assures me that the Cleaf materials are waterproof and will not get damaged with minimal water exposure. I am nervous about these new materials that are not maple plywood which withstands water without a problem. Any thoughts on your experience with Cleaf Melamine cabinet boxes would be very appreciated. Thanks!
