Oh no! I am sorry to hear about that. Especially because I ordered the same sink. How deep are your countertops?

What is your price range? Julien sinks that are mentioned above are very expensive. Having said that, it is difficult to find sinks not made in China unless you go very expensive. Even brands like Kohler, Franke and Blanco now out-source most of their sinks from China. You'd have to call these companies to ask which sink models are from China and which are not--if they will tell you. Also, try Elkay, a great manufacturer located in Illinois. But again, you will be paying a high price. And also, sometimes these companies' sinks are not, strictly speaking, made in China, but the stainless steel is still sourced from China, and there is no way to find that out. Or, you could go custom, and get a sink from Handcrafted Metal Inc. in Texas. That's what I did, and it's a wonderful sink in 14-gauge stainless steel, which is thicker than anything you can get from these other brands (which are always in the thinner 16-gauge or 18-gauge stainless steel). I made my sink purchase with Handcrafted Metal all over email and telephone, and was very satisfied. Or, give up on stainless steel for a sink altogether, and get a Blanco Silgranit sink. People on this forum rave about the Silgranit sinks; unlike stainless steel, Silgranit sinks do not water spot or scratch, and are much easier to clean than stainless steel. Do a search on this forum for "Blanco Silgranit sink", and you may realize that you should choose another material if you don't want a stainless steel sink from China.

I have seen several of these stainless sinks rust when brand new!” This comment from @Dino Rachiele about rust is fearmongering. Also note that Kohler, Blanco, and Franke all sell good stainless steel sinks with their badges on them that are made in China. Rust in a stainless steel sink is not caused by the sink being made in China. It is caused by someone leaving something in the sink that itself rusts, such as a can or metal utensil, or frequently, tiny particles from steel wool pads. Steel wool pads must never be used to clean a stainless steel sink no matter where it is made. Rust can also be caused by the homeowner’s water if it happens to have iron in it. I have this issue myself of iron-heavy water that leaves rust spots in my custom 14-gauge Texas-made stainless steel sink. And so what?—the rust comes off in seconds with very little effort, using Barkeeper’s Friend and a sponge. People should buy the sink that is in their budget in the size they want, and if the manufacturer is a reputable one, including the popular Chinese-made sinks by Kraus, then they should not worry about rust in their sink.

"When you sandwich the sink rim between the heavy counter material and the cabinet side there's zero extra space if the cabinet side tops are all installed level. No possiblity of any space opening in the future.." Good theory, little real-world relevance. First, the sink flange would have to be rabbeted into the cabinet tops perfectly flush. Secondly, tops aren't the exact same thickness throughout and nearly all have to be shimmed somewhat. That means there will be a gap the thickness of the shims between the sink flange and stone bottom. That means an uneven silicone joint and on the recommended slight positive reveal that won't look good. When a sink is pushed against a stone bottom by straps, the gap is tight and consistent no matter what the shims are doing. Furthermore, if the sink ever has to be replaced, it's now much more difficult because the cabinet sides have to be unzipped to get the sink out and reinstalled to get the new sink in. A strapped sink is replaced in little over an hour by backing off two bolts. Using cabinet tops to support sinks is not good practice.
