Comments (11)Yup, tomato. Looks healthy too. What was there before? An heirloom or a hybrid. Hybrid seeds won't grow true to parent. If the tomato there before it was diseased, it may also have disease, which is why we ferment heirloom seeds when we save them. That said, you might get a nice plant out of it. Tomatoes, btw are heavy feeders and really need fresh (or freshly rotated) soil. I wouldn't put tomatoes in the same spot two years in a row without changing out the soil for a lot of new compost. Comments (3)I work until my back starts screaming, then use the heating pad and ibuprofen to ease the pain. I am really getting a lot of nutsedge in my dry gardens with this recently rainy weather.
