I don't think that the person who posted it needs help anymore because it's been 2 years already. But maybe there will be people who are searching for some house number signs. Normally matching painting to siding is the way to go. But since you have dark brown brick there halfway up garage, in this case paint garage door to match brick/roof. Don't paint the brick. A bright front door as suggested would draw attention to that side of the house. Down the road, as budget allows expand garden beds on the right for the same reason. IMO The couches do not exist in this room by themselves. When you are looking to decorate a room, you need to look at the entire room - not just the furniture. The floors, ceiling, walls, any other furniture or decor needs to be considered. A unified and cohesive look is the goal. You have a lot of wall space that is sand in color. That seems to be the dominant color. Other colors are the floor, which is a reddish brown. Your fireplace has off-white, sand, tan, and a little brown in it. Your curtains are gray. Below are some pieces of art to consider. Keep in mind that art is very personal, so I would recommend that you look for a local artist, or art gallery. Some colleges even have their own art galleries. Take your time and find pieces you love. They will be your conversation pieces as well as pieces that reflect your personality. Get a print and have it framed locally in plexiglass (safer and easier to hang than glass). Lighting has a lot to do with the atmosphere of a space. Ceiling lights are not flattering. Huge money pit if you ask me. A stucco exterior is great to have but once it develops cracks the moisture penetrates and decays it from the inside until it falls off. Tap around the cracks of the stucco and if it sounds hollow it's about ready to fall off and effected areas can't be repaired and must be removed and replaced and hard to match existing stucco. The cracks in wood beams are not an issue but dry rot is. I can see water wicking into the beams from the outside so stick a dull butter knife in it. penetration of any kind means it's dry rotted. This is an old house and looks to have plaster interior walls and ceilings and just like the stucco if you tap around the cracks and it sounds hollow it's lost adhesion to the lathes and will fall off. With these old houses comes a need for complete electrical and plumbing upgrade and unless they've already been done, along with no insulation, needing a roof and as another mentioned potential asbestos all around this house will have substantial repair bills. More full pictures of the house inside and out would aid in accessing the overall condition but what I see is enough to go in with an offer substantially lower than market value with the cash on the side to repair and upgrade.
